I am TamK. and I am a locpreneur. My passion is entrepreneurship, my medium is locs. Over the past decade, as a loctician, I have mastered my own techniques in starting and maintaining locs. In this time, I have built a brand known as iTwistOrlando, which includes a growing clientele, a celebrity clientele, and a global following.
In 2012, I created a hair care line for locs and loose natural hair, called K. Essentials. I wanted to solve the #1 problem my clients were experiencing-which was dryness. This birthed my best selling product, the Liquid Gold Hair Oil.
As my knowledge grew within the hair and digital space, I wanted to engage more with my following, so I created the blog, The Art Of Locs. It is my outlet to share, educate, and connect with the natural hair community.
I coined the term locpreneur to inspire and change the narrative for all “dreaded professionals”.
